Explorer Backpacks

The Night Sky backpack is full of easy-to-use tools to help visitors better understand the world around them.

In fall 2025, we funded supplies for three brand new explorer backpacks for the park’s Nature Center. The backpacks are available to check out for free. Choose from one of three themed backpacks, full of tools you need for learning more while on your visit at Devil’s Lake.

Theme 1: Night Sky (Best for ages 7+)

Theme 2: Animal Tracking (Best for ages 5+)

Theme 3: Birdwatching (Best for ages 5+)
