Devil’s Lake Needs Your Support

Wisconsin's state parks are no longer supported by Wisconsin tax revenue dollars. The Park System must operate independently, based on the revenue it generates as a whole. You might think Devil’s Lake has plenty of money because it is extremely popular and enjoys heavy visitation. In fact, it is only one of seven Wisconsin state parks that operates at a profit annually. Most revenue Devil’s Lake State Park collects goes to fund other state park properties that operate at a loss.

This is why public support via donations and volunteers are essential to maintaining and sustaining Devil’s Lake State Park. We depend on donations to fund trail maintenance, facilities improvements and enhancements, Naturalist's programs, Music in the Park, and numerous other projects and activities.

Donate to the Friends

Donations of any amount are appreciated ($25 is a great place to start) and can be designated for a specific cause such as general projects, trail maintenance, or a future educational interpretive center. If there is something else you would like to fund, please reach out!
