Volunteer with the Friends
Join a work party in the Park to protect trees, pull invasive weeds, or help with a visitor event. You’ll meet great people, help support your favorite park, and have fun doing it!
Seeking Motivated Volunteers
Are you interested in volunteering your time and talent to support Devil’s Lake State Park? We’d love to help channel your enthusiasm!
Devil’s Lake Needs Help from Folks Like You!
As you likely already know, Devil’s Lake State Park hosts more than 2,400,000 visitors a year. To ensure the park remains an unspoiled jewel of nature, the Friends contribute our minds, muscle, and money toward upkeep and improvement projects. We partner with Park staff to complete environmental and beautification projects, sponsor educational and recreational activities for park visitors, and raise funds to support special park needs.
We need you, for there is much to do. Many hands make light work!
Whether you can help a little or help a lot…
Whether you live far away or close by…
We need you.
The Friends ask you to be involved. Please tell us about your skills and interests below.
Let Us Know How You’d Like to Get Involved

Volunteer Incentives
As a small token of our appreciation, we offer incentives to our volunteers, including gift certificates to concessions, Wisconsin DNR OutWiGo swag, and Friends of Devil’s Lake merchandise. Plus, you will have our utmost gratitude and thanks!
Additionally, volunteers can pick up a punch card. Every time they volunteer, they’ll get a “punch” and once the card is full, they can redeem it for a special thank you from the Friends. Punch card activities include Second Saturday Stewardship days, volunteering at events and activities, the Devil’s Challenge Triathlon, and other opportunities where we need hands to help.
