Together We Can Reach Our $20,000 Goal!
Dear Friends,
We all know that Devil’s Lake State Park is a special place in Wisconsin and the Midwest. In times of economic difficulty, the outdoors is a gift that keeps on giving. Working closely with park staff, the nonprofit Friends group gives back, providing much-needed support for Wisconsin’s most visited state park. Today, we can use your help raising funds for our 2026 efforts, including providing free programming for individuals and families of all ages, abilities, and income levels.
Your contribution will help the Friends:
Purchase 54 recycled lumber picnic tables for Quartzite Campground ($20,000)
Fund trail maintenance projects (starting at $14,000)
Increase accessibility of park facilities and amenities ($6,000 for grant match)
Purchase trailhead kiosks ($6,000)
Install interpretive displays, like the history of the Panoramic Resort at the
North Shore entrance ($6,000)
Improve playground facilities and equipment ($4,500)
Buy bike racks for key park destinations ($1,500)
Upgrade the popular group fire pit by Rock Elm Shelter ($1,200)
Sponsor 35+ free cultural, educational, and recreational programs ($5,000)
Offer three Music in the Park events, one in June, July, and August ($3,000)
Provide free yoga in the park every Saturday during the summer ($800)
Host the popular Halloween Extravaganza, with free pumpkin carving and torchlit hike ($800)
Organize volunteer work days, like North Shore tree mulching, litter pick-up, and Earth Day cleanup ($500)
…and so much more!
Please join us in closing out 2025 as we work to reach our goal of raising $20,000 to fund park improvements and free programming for 2026! Your tax-deductible donation will go a long way. We know that budgets are tight this time of year, but we also know that every bit helps. Together, we can keep Devil’s Lake State Park the crown jewel of our 125-year-old Wisconsin State Park System.
Thank you for supporting the Friends of Devil’s Lake!
With gratitude,
