Devil’s Lake Educational and Interpretive Center

Imagine a place so extraordinary that more than 2.3 million people visit it each year – a place that melds 500-foot quartzite bluffs, a lake’s sweeping radiance, scuba diving, miles of hiking trails, year-round camping, and nationally-known rock climbing.

It’s here at Devil’s Lake State Park, a place so revered that it is the crown jewel of the Wisconsin State Park System.

One of the features it lacks, though, is a top-notch educational/interpretive center, a hub for discovering the park’s rich multicultural history and a year-round gathering space for groups. The new center will open a door for everyone to learn about its unique geology and promote stewardship of this natural wonder.

The Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park has partnered with the Devil’s Lake Concession Corporation and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to raise ~$18 million to create a year-round, multi-purpose center.

The center will house interactive educational multi-media exhibits, classrooms, flexible space for a range of events, and serve as a learning resource for visitors of all abilities.

The need is real, and the chance to help make the center a reality lies in our hands. Join us in building upon the park’s natural beauty by helping to educate visitors – young and old alike – about history, nature and the importance of stewardship at this treasured place.

We’re counting on committed friends like you to step forward and make an investment in the future of Devil’s Lake State Park and the people who come to enjoy it.
