Let’s raise $30k for 30 years!

Dear Friends,

For 30 years, the Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park have been giving back to our favorite state park. The contributions we’ve made have changed the visitor experience here. We have an ambitious goal to wrap up our 30th year: we’re looking to raise $30,000! We’re asking for your help in closing out 2026 with a contribution to continue our meaningful work supporting Wisconsin’s biggest state park. We’re heading into a year where Devil’s Lake lost a vital channel of state funding, and we need your support now more than ever.

This year, with your support, we were able to: purchase picnic tables, increase accessibility of day use areas and campsites, install trailhead kiosks, improved playgrounds and play facilities, purchase bike racks, sponsor educational and cultural programs, organize 25+ volunteer workdays, and our biggest accomplishment: funding brand new park trail maps to help visitors navigate this park better. Next year looks to be just as busy! Your contribution for 2027 will help the Friends:

  • Continue replacing and adding trail maps ($29,000)

  • Increase accessibility of park facilities and amenities ($6,000 for grant match)

  • Install interpretive displays ($xxx)

  • Pedestrian Walkway Enhancements ($2,000)

  • Sponsor 30+ free cultural, educational, and recreational programs ($8,000)

  • Offer three Music in the Park events, one in June, July, and August ($3,000)

  • Provide free yoga in the park every Saturday during the summer ($600)

  • Host the popular Halloween Extravaganza, with free pumpkin carving and torchlit hike ($800)

  • Organize volunteer work days, like North Shore tree mulching, litter pick-up, and Earth Day cleanup ($500)

  • …and so much more!
