Pumpkin Carving Contest

Join us for our first-ever pumpkin carving contest at the North Shore, between the Chateau and the Visitor’s Center.
4 contest categories based on age (0-5, 6-11, 12-17, and 18+ years).
Prizes will include a 2022 park sticker for the adult winner and $25 Culver's gift cards for the 0 to 17-year age groups.
We will supply the pumpkins and all carving/painting supplies.
Carving will take place from 3:00 to 5:30 PM.
Judging will be done by Halloween Hikers.
Halloween Hike & Campfire
6 - 8:30 PM
Join us for a one-mile torch torch-lit hike, then stay and socialize by the fire. Sue Johansen-Mayoleth, our Park Naturalist will once again have a lot of fun activities including crafts and trivia, with a snake theme this year.
Show off your costume by the campfire.
Roast marshmellows for a s’more or two.
Enjoy tasty treats at the Chateau.
Learn out snakes and join us for crafts.
Pick up your snake trivia game cards at the Rock Elm Shelter before you head out on your hike.
