Wayfinding Signage
One of the new trail maps at Devil’s Lake State Park.
A new map and kiosk at the CCC parking lot.
Last updated and installed in 2001, the park’s wayfinding signage is badly in need of some TLC. We’ve been working with the park staff to update the park’s trail maps and purchase new materials to install the signs, plus adding more signage to areas where maps have been lacking.
Help us fundraise for all new trail signage! The new signage, developed by the DNR, will help visitors navigate and orient to this park. This two-year project will cost approximately $50,000.
We’ve already received a very generous donation from Grant Slayton (Baraboo) to help kickstart this project. We’re looking for help funding the rest of this project! Signs were installed starting in August 2026 and will continue throughout the park into 2027. Please note that some of the signs in the worst condition along the trails have already been removed.
