Explore the Night Sky: Presented by the Madison Astronomy Society
Rescheduled from May!
Join the Madison Astronomy Society (MAS) to learn about the night sky. From 8 – 8:45 pm, join MAS for an astro-naturalist talk and starting at 9 pm, a MAS astronomer and his laser pointer will take you on a tour of spring constellations, while others with visual and photographic telescopes will show you deep-sky beauty, features on the Moon, and Jupiter and its moons. This is an informal program where you can come anytime, and the MAS volunteers will help you get to know the night sky. This program is best for kids 7 and older and adults, but open to kids of all ages.
Meet near the north shore boat launch parking lot, just behind the Rock Elm Shelter.
This event is free but vehicle admission to the park is required.
