Native Arts and Culture of Teewakącąk (Ho-Chunk): Effigy Mounds - Sacred Sites and Native Arts

Join us to engage and enjoy in the art and culture of the area’s Indigenous peoples.
The land called Tee Wakącąk contains numerous sacred sites known as effigy mounds that are found throughout the park. Rob Nurre is a historian and former president of the WI Archaeology Society. He will guide participants in respectfully engaging with these sacred sites and creating a lasting memory of their experience.
